After a run of 3 consecutive defeats, Alltwen returned to winning ways with a comfortable win away at Ogmore Vale.

In a repeat of the final match of last season Alltwen overturned the result of that day with a three tries to one victory, made extra secure by the assured boot of Jason Richards.

Richards converted each of Alltwen's tries by forwards Daniel Owen and Alex Carne and one from centre Jordan Hopkin, to help give Alltwen a healthy 24-0 half time lead. Richards then added two further penalties to his earlier first half success, for a personal haul of 15 points.

Although Alltwen's second half progress was handicapped by an opposition enforced reversion to passive scrums, the visitors will take overall confidence from the performance as they seek this time to overturn early season defeat, in the return encounter with Baglan at Gwyn St on Saturday 31st December. All are welcome and all are wished a Merry Christmas meantime.
