Facing their own Alamo under siege from league leaders Glyncorrwg , Alltwen delivered an 80 minute defensive performance this weekend that would have pleased Davy Crockett. The game followed a frustrating spell for the Alltwen team and club. After a stirring win away to Pontrhydyfen helped by a fine brace from centre Jordan Hopkins, any hopes for continuity were dashed by a spell of weather abandonments, cup exits and a bizarre game in monsoon conditions in Penlan that played out like a wild west movie.
